The Ballet of the Russian National Opera – Rostov-on-Don State Opera will present, in February 2020, the biggest romantic ballet : Giselle.
Created on June 28, 1841 at the Paris Opera by choreographers Jean CORRALI, Jules PERROT and Marius PETIPA, Giselle is the most beautiful jewel of the classical repertoire. Symbol of Romanticism, this ballet is the story of a young peasant woman, Giselle, madly in love with Albrecht, lord already betrothed to Princess Bathilde. Betrayed, she lost her mind and danced until she died. The accuracy of the choreographic work of the dancers and the authentic interpretation of the musicians will transport you and will move you through this tragic story that unites dance, love and death.
